How does the CoolPeel laser work?
The non-ablative Tetra CO2 laser used for CoolPeel treatment creates tiny openings in the skin, just enough to prompt your body’s healing response. In turn, your body supplies the treated area with collagen, ultimately restoring a smooth, fresh surface.
How is CoolPeel different from other laser treatments?
The treatment is called CoolPeel because it doesn’t cause heating to surrounding tissues. Older generations of CO2 lasers have a longer pulse time and don’t allow control over the output of laser energy. Because of this, they cause heating of the treated area, which damages the surrounding tissue and leads to the “social downtime”.
